You will be given as much time as needed to complete your written Connecticut permit test. You must complete it prior to the closure of the CT DMV. The exam must be conducted physically as well as under the supervision of Connecticut DMV staff. The written test typically lasts between 15-30 minutes.

It is important to note that though the retesting can be rescheduled immediately after a failed test attempt, you must reschedule your exam a minimum of 7 days in the future before another attempt can be made.
