ARKANSAS (AR) DMV PRACTICE TEST

 

Those who have a license or certificate are allowed to operate a motor vehicle, motorcycle, or motorized bicycle on public roads and highways in Arkansas. Every test taker must pass a vision test before a driver’s license or learner’s permit is issued. All knowledge including rules of the road, traffic laws, road signs, and safe driving practices which are found in the AR DMV Driver License Manual are covered on the written exam. 

 

1. How Much Does The Arkansas Permit Test Cost?

Taking the learner’s permit test in Arkansas will cost you $45. You will have to pay $5 for the administration of the written permit test that is due each time you take the permit test. There will also be a $40 license fee if you pass the exam. 

 

2. What Is The Age Requirement To Gain An Arkansas Driver's License?

In Arkansas state, a candidate must be 18 years old or above to obtain their full Class D License. To get an Instruction Permit, a test taker must be at least 14 years old. To gain an Intermediate License, a test taker must be at least 16 years old. 

 

3. How Many Questions Are On The Arkansas Permit Test?

The Arkansas Permit test contains 25 questions which are all taken from the 2022 AK driver’s license manual. To pass the test, you must get 20 questions right. This is a score of 80%. The test will check your understanding of common rules of the road, signage and defensive driving practices.

5. How Much Time am I Allowed To Take My Arkansas Permit Test at the Arkansas DMV?

With the Arkansas DMV test, you will be allowed as much time as needed to finish all 25 questions. You must complete the test before the DMV closes. You must take the test in person and under the Arkansas DMV staff’s supervision. 

 

6. Can I Take The Permit Test Online In Arkansas?

Unfortunately, you are not permitted to sit for the Arkansas DMV test online. 7. What Happens If I Fail My Arkansas Permit Test?

If you fail the test, there will be a 1-5 day wait to retake the test. The DMV will contact you and tell you when that time is. There may be a charge for retaking the test (this depends on the rules of your local DMV). Before your application is denied, you will have three failed attempts. If you fail the test three times or don’t pass the test within 90 days, your application will be closed and you’ll have to restart your process.
